Being primarily a residential neighbourhood, Waterstone doesn’t have to deal with the noise of traffic or commercial zones. The primary feature in the neighbourhood is the tranquil Nose Creek River that softly flows through the centre of the community. There’s plenty of playgrounds and green spaces in the area, but you’ll want to head north a couple of blocks to s Nose Creek Park , Airdrie’s most utilized park, offering 20 acres of everything that outdoor enthusiasts crave including an amphitheater, playground, pickleball courts, fire pit, and concession. The trails in Nose Creek Regional Park are some of the best that Airdrie has to offer, and it’s rare to see them without dog walkers, runners, or cyclists. The park has a large off-leash area, the perfect place to toss a frisbee and let the dog free to retrieve it. 

The Sierra Springs Shopping District sits just on the other side of Summerhill’s south edge and is home to big box stores including Winners, Home Depot, Walmart, Michaels, Peavey Mart and Dollarama. Grocery shopping is a breeze with The Co-Op on your doorstep. If you feel like eating out, there are several restaurants like The Canadian Brewhouse, Mr. Mike’s Steakhouse, Popeye’s, Montana’s and more.

AE Bowers Elementary School, Muriel Clayton Middle School, and St.Martin de Porres High School are the closest schools, just a short drive to adjacent neighbourhoods.
