The neighbourhood of Abbeydale is located in the northeast region of Calgary. It’s bordered by the Trans-Canada highway, Stoney Trail, 68th St NE, and the CPR tracks.  Residents choose this community for its easy accessibility to Stoney Trail and the Trans-Canada Highway, which makes commuting a breeze.

Location and Accessibility

Abbeydale is located in the east region of Calgary. The community is bordered by:

  • North: 16th Avenue NE
  • South: Memorial Drive
  • East: Stoney Trail
  • West: 68th Street SE

Its proximity to Stoney Trail, Deerfoot Trail, and Trans-Canada Highway (16 Avenue NE) makes it convenient for residents to travel to other parts of Calgary and beyond.

Marlborough Mall, a shopping area of 36 Street NE, has everything you need.

This popular retail centre offers a variety of shops, services and big box stores like Home Depot, Walmart and many more. There are also great restaurants nearby, and with all of these close by amenities you’ll never have to stray far to find everything you need. 

Just off of Highway 1 (16th Ave NE) and 52nd Street NE, the TransCanada Centre is a large shopping plaza with big names like Dollarama, Save On Foods and many more shops and services.

South of the neighbourhood is International Avenue on 17th Avenue. This popular commercial corridor, known as International Avenue, is known for its diverse array of shops, restaurants, and services. Residents can find everything from grocery stores and convenience shops to international cuisine and local eateries.
