Nancy Calvin is the real deal. She helped us to find a new home this past summer, but also to sell 2 of our properties the previous summer. The first was sold during an open house, and the second was sold within 30 days. As for our home purchase, Nancy worked strategically, considering market conditions, our budget and stayed in constant radio contact until, I'm happy to say, we managed to buy our dream forever home in downtown Calgary. As a sales professional myself, there's a few things I'm really looking for in a partner on deals like this. 1. They have to be a great, honest and fun person to be working with. We're going to spend a ton of time together working towards our goals and I only want to spend time with people I absolutely love - Nancy scored an 11/10 here - I can't imagine having worked on these deals with anyone else. 2. They've got to understand real estate so they can do the dance during offers, negotiations and driving all parties to success. Nancy know's this stuff like the back of her hand. She had amazing referrals for lenders, lawyers, inspectors.... and we even got in to the weeds needing some special outside of the norm safety inspections on an older home - she could not have been more prepared and saved us tons of time during this process. 3. They've got to know YOUR market. Nancy is one of those true Calgarians who not only knows every lick of every street and avenue downtown down to the ages of the buildings...I'd walk around Mission with Nancy and she'd stop traffic, with friends and acquaintances waving and honking as we walked by - she knows this town better than anyone I've ever worked with; and that's a real comfort when it comes to making such a big decision. Finally, Nancy is a great listener. She's got her own opinions but she was much more interested in ours.... I've had a lot of sales interactions and been on both sides of the glass throughout my career, but Nancy is one of the best listeners I've ever come across in my life and for me, that trait made our process easier and allowed us to spend more focus on getting what we wanted instead of wasting time (as I have done in other sales relationships) focusing on the wrong things. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful it was for our family to work with you Nancy. We may never need an other home but I'll be sending you referrals for as long as you want them!
