Just west is the Williamstown Nose Creek Preserve, a nature preserve with trails that offer tranquility and whispy prairie views while you walk, run or bike along the pathways. The Nose Creek River runs through the preserve, offering a chance to see some wildlife.  Woodside Golf Course sits just south of the community, ideal for any golf enthusiast.

Residents are only minutes away Gateway where you can find from several shopping choices including The Real Canadian Superstore for all grocery needs. There’s also Canadian Tire and Home Depot for any home repairs or improvements. Several local shops & services are also dotted throughout the shopping district.

Herons Crossing School is the closest school, located in the neighbouring community of Williamstown, and serves grades K-8. Our Lady Queen Of Peace, Ralph McCall Elementary and C.W. Perry Middle School are also nearby, as well Airdrie Christian Academy, a private school located near its eastern border in Stone Gate.
