Sandstone Valley is located in the north region of Calgary. The community is bordered by:

- South: Berkshire Blvd

The neighborhood is bordered by Beddington Trail NW to the south, Country Hills Boulevard NW to the north, 14th Street NW to the west, and Berkshire Boulevard NW to the south.
