Location and Accessibility

Marlborough is located in the east region of Calgary. The community is bordered by:

  • North: 16th Avenue NE
  • South: Memorial Drive
  • East: 52nd Street SE
  • West: 36th Street SE

Easy access to Memorial Drive, Deerfoot Trail, and Trans-Canada Highway (16 Avenue NE) allows for efficient travel to other parts of the city and surrounding areas.  Marlborough is well-serviced by Calgary Transit, including the Marlborough C-Train station on the Blue Line, providing quick and direct access to downtown and other parts of Calgary.

Education and Healthcare

The neighborhood features several parks and playgrounds, including Marlborough Park, Madigan Park, and Memorial Park, offering spaces for outdoor activities, sports, and family gatherings.

The Calgary Marlborough Community Association provides a full range of activities, events and programs for residents. Their main hall is available for rental, it seats up to 400 and is suitable for wedding receptions, Christmas parties and other gatherings. It is also suitable for volleyball, indoor soccer and other small sporting events.  There’s also an upper hall, lounge and activities room available. 

Village Square Leisure Center is just north of the community and offers two skating arenas, a wave pool with slides, rooms for fitness and dancing and a jungle gym.

Shop & Dine

Marlborough Mall, a shopping area of 36 Street NE, has everything you need.

This popular retail centre offers a variety of shops, services and big box stores like Home Depot, Walmart and many more. There are also great restaurants nearby, and with all of these close by amenities you’ll never have to stray far to find everything you need. 

Just off of Highway 1 (16th Ave NE) and 52nd Street NE, the TransCanada Centre is a large shopping plaza with big names like Dollarama, Save On Foods and many more shops and services.

South of the neighbourhood is International Avenue on 17th Avenue. This popular commercial corridor, known as International Avenue, is known for its diverse array of shops, restaurants, and services. Residents can find everything from grocery stores and convenience shops to international cuisine and local eateries.
