However, in the early 2000s, the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) embarked on a large-scale redevelopment project to revitalize East Village. Location and Accessibility
East Village is located in the city centre region of Calgary. The community is bordered by:
- North: Bow River
- South: 9th Avenue SE
- East: Elbow River
- West: Macleod TrailÂ
The neighbourhood is located directly east of Calgary’s downtown core, bordered by the Bow River to the north and Fort Calgary to the south.
